That phrase gets thrown around so much in stores and restaurants that it’s become almost meaningless, but right now I really do mean it from the bottom of my heart. Working in a customer-service job like a coffee shop can be one of the most soul-deadening jobs imaginable. The long hours, mindless repetition, and rude customers just sort of get to you after a while. But there are certain customers who are bright spots in the day and who make it all almost worthwhile. Today a customer anonymously left a note on a napkin thanking us for the great service and the smiles. And you know what? It made my whole day.
So thank you, nice people who buy coffee from me.
Thank you for stopping and asking how my day is going. It means a lot, even if you don’t realize it.
Thank you for smiling at me instead of treating me like an idiot.
Thank you for thanking me like you mean it instead of just walking off.
Thank you for understanding when I’m swamped and saying “No problem, take your time”.
They’re little things, but they really do make all the difference.
My thoughts on the rumors exploding all over tumblr today
They are just that - RUMORS.
I am not believing ANYTHING until I hear official confirmation (aka not a possible misquote in an interview) from Matt, Moffat, or the BBC. Yes, I’m nervous, but I have been ever since “the fall of the Eleventh” was mentioned. I don’t think this is the end of the road yet.
Also, I personally think Matt is too smart to leave before the 50th anniversary. That shit is going to be HUGE, and it would be any British actor’s dream to be the Doctor on the 50th anniversary special. Plus, having Matt leave right after season 7 before all the specials wouldn’t make any sense. I’m fairly sure that Matt is going to do season 7 and stick around for whatever specials they do for the anniversary. And again, I’m not believing anything until I hear it in an official statement.
Because I’ve seen way too many people complain that River is getting less badass, and how River’s actions in TWORS make her a bad character or whatever the balls people are complaining about. Let me tell you why that is complete and utter bullshit.
Seriously, guys. Stop…
BLESS THIS POST.
Also, to anyone who says that Moffat can’t do character development, let me remind you that he developed River Song into a fabulously interesting and complex character. BACKWARDS.
Think about that for a second before you attack Moffat’s writing.
