I somehow managed to lose a follower while I was away at work for six hours

Of course! And please don’t feel guilty about anything, you’re doing me a huge favor and I’m the one being massively impatient about it. I have no waiting skills whatsoever - lord only knows why I picked the two fandoms that make me wait the most.
So waiting for fics to come back from beta might be the most frustrating thing in my entire life
I am not a patient person, so even though it hasn’t even been a reasonable amount of time I just NEED TO KNOW.

Calling all fanfiction authors/beta readers!
I am nearing the end of the first draft of a Sherlock story longer and more involved than anything I have ever written before, and I would love for someone else to take a look at it and tell me what they think. I feel really good about this story, but I also know that it needs some real beta work before I will feel comfortable posting it. Any sort of help would be massively appreciated, and if someone is willing to read through the whole thing and give me their thoughts, comments, and criticisms I would be more grateful than words could ever say.
