Day 11: What actor would you love to see guest star on Doctor Who? I want Benedict Cumberbatch to play the Master. Wait, I don’t think I made myself clear enough. I have an actual, physical need to see Benedict Cumberbatch as the Master facing the Eleventh Doctor. Not the crazy, raving Master played by John Simm (although he was absolutely brilliant), but the elegant, intellectual, and self-possessed Master of Classic Who. With his commanding presence, deep voice, and other-worldly beauty I really think that Benedict would be the perfect choice to bring the Master back to his old form. And as the finishing touch he would of course have to be ginger. It would piss off the Doctor to no end.
